Rick Sitting Up!!

Rick is doing amazing this morning.  He is sitting up and had something to eat.  Rick spent some time with Brady and Casey before they headed off to school and he is in very good spirits.
The doctors are recommending that today be a day of rest and building strength.

He is out of ICU and has been moved to Room 730.  Anyone wishing to send something the address is
Richard Schneider
Memorial Sloan Kettering
1275 York Avenue
7th Floor, Room 730
New York, NY 10065

Keep up the comments on the blog, he loves them!!

Great news, but not surprising... I had no doubt that he'd be EATING very quickly. There is nothing that can keep the Schneider family from enjoying a meal!

Keep up the good work!

Tami & Rick:
Although we have NEVER met, we feel as though we truly know you both. Myles thinks the world of you and speaks of you both in such glowing terms of your kindness to the world and closeness in your relationship to him.
Our thoughts couldn't be warmer nor our wishes more sincere - we just know you will soon be 100% perfect again.
Best-
Terri & Phil Harlan

Great news! Given Rick's very sophisticated tastes in food and drink, is there anyway we can sneak him in something more to his liking than what he is getting in the hospital/ S-K has great docs, but their kitchen and wine cellar leave a lot to be desired! We are all very happy to hear that he is getting back to his usual self.

Love, Jack, LuAnn, Davis and Lizzie

After 26 hours of being out of contact with Rick, Tami et.al., I finally called tami this morning and to my elation, Rick answered the phone. After not believing it was really him, we did have the opportunity to joke around a bit as everyone in his room were making fun of Rick's "fat" ankles. Rick sounded GREAT, spoke clearly, concisely and succinctly. He is very lucky to have the family, friends and support staff that is second to none.
Rick, rest up and I shall see you soon.
Love always,
POFFO

Rick:

I've been thinking about you and the family. Great to hear that you're doing so well; never thought any differently! We, too, went through this with my son Dylan just last June and he was up and out of the hospital within days (hated all the attention), on a train with his "buds" within the week, and is now taking flying lessons. All good, so keep on smiling.

Warmest Regards,
Alan Lustrin

Is it just me, or does Kirk bending over in that photo appear to be pretty routine for him?

Schneiders on my mind...unfortunately, Kirk sticking his ass out in that photo is as well...
