Rick- I'm glad we spent some time together yesterday. I told you to be strong and on the train home last night an image popped into my head: At our shul, every time we complete each of the five sections of Torah, the congregation rises and chants "Strength! Strength! Be Strong!" (except in Hebrew) and then it's on to the next book. It struck me because you had just ended one phase of your career and will soon be on to the next after this brief pause. In between, your congregation is rising now and telling you to BE STRONG and keep rolling it forward - there's a lot more story to tell!
Dear Rick, Tami Brady & Casey It's amazing what happens when family friends love and support all gather......you will beat this and we will all be celebrating together before you know it!!! Love ya tons. Cousins, Rob, Marci, Brittani and Genna
Rick, We hope you can feel the prayers that are rising up for you, Tami, Brady and Casey. We know that your love for your precious family will give you the strength and courage to overcome this challenge. Always remember when the going gets tough, that you have been blessed with a beautiful wife and two great kids that love you. You can do this! With love and lots of prayers, Richard, Karen, Jake and Blake
Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery from you old friend, Dr. Eddie Matt-Q. My thoughts and prayers are with you at all times. All of the old Lincolnwood crowd is behind you, and I am sure you will emerge from this stronger than ever.
Geez Rick...Poffo just called me and I'm at loss for words. All I can say is that you need to hang tough, have a positive attitude and don't believe any bad news the first time. You're a survivor and the people around you love you and you'll kick this in the ass for everyone that cares for you. I'm not a religious guy but I think your karma is exactly in the right place.
We couldn't find the words to say other than you are constantly in our thoughts. This quote from Lao Tzo seems right -"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength while loving someone deeply gives you courage." God Bless, Bonnie and Ron
Schneider Family- We are waiting for some good news here and we are counting on you sending some our way. Just as you always have spread the cheer. Rick:
Not a single doubt in my mind my friend. You will handle (and conquer) this with your usual grace and style.
