Rick has settled back into life on the upper west side. He spent yesterday with the family hitting his favorite brunch spot - Sarabeths and then enjoyed dinner with some friends from Carmines.
Lesley Heller continues to coordinate dinner requests and will take the information for Tami and Rick and let you know what is needed as days get closer. This way if Rick is feeling up to hitting some of his favorite hot spots we won't have any confusion with cancellations.
Rick wants everyone to keep the emails and the blogs coming. They have meant an enourmous amount to all of the Schneiders!!

to all of our friends & family:
words cannot express how much the support of all of you has meant to rick and i as we have navigated through the last week. rick really found inspiration reading all the blogs & emails daily and it was so exciting to see how far our support network reaches!
we're home, doing great and we look forward to the continued support from all of you in the days/weeks/months ahead!
lots of love to all,
tami (& rick!)
Hope you guys are all having a great time eating Papaya King with my hubby! I know it's a quick trip, but our next plan is to come up as a family. Tell Casey to let Uncle Chuck kick his ass in Madden...we wouldn't want to bruise his ego...haha. And remember you are going to need to kick mom out of the house, because she ain't leavin'!!!
Love you guys...and Rick,as you told me..keep smelling the roses!!! Stacey
I am overwhelmed at the amount you Schneiders are able to share. We are more blessed to be touched by you than you will ever know.
Thank Rick for the note of encouragement for the "big guy". He is really grateful. I believe love and good karma is the healing potion. I am still checking in hourly. God Speed
Love Mindy and the Moores
It was great to hear your voice today!!!!! Hope you have a great night sleep and we will be talking with you in the next couple of days!!!! love hugs and kisses, cousins rob marci brit and genna
welcome home! I have been thinking about you continuously. It made my heart sing to hear you had a chance to see Didi on your way home. You are a good loving son and it is no surprise that you have you such an incredible network of friends, family and support. We are all in your corner. Keep up th good news
Love, Judy and...
Hi Schnooder's,
Japonais was so delicious. Thanks for the last minute food critique. I ordered just like a Schneider: ribs, several orders of steak on a sizzling rock, oysters... until Andy basically held up the white flag of being too full. They all take after Brian with those little appetites. They just need more training with our (Schneider) side of the family.
Hey Schneiders,
The blog is fabulous and we love keeping track of your enormous support network and activities. Please know that you have yet another team in your corner - thinking of and praying for you as
you continue to deeply touch many lives.
Keep up the great work!!!
Rick and Tami, we are thinking of you, and our hearts go out to you.

Hey Rick,
Just thinking about the Schneider crew and hoping you all have been enjoying the warm surroundings of home. You are all in my thoughts. Stay strong.

Tami and Rick,
It is so great to hear that Rick is home and doing so well. We hope to be able to drop by sometime soon to say hi. Love and prayers and all good thoughts are being sent your way all the time. Know that we are thinking of you often. We are here for you if we can help in any way. In the meantime, keep up the good work and keep smiling. Love, Jennifer and Richard
Cousin Ricky, we were out of town for the President's Day Weekend. Came home tonight and of course I checked the Rick-blog to get the latest. So glad to hear you're home. Let Bump take care of you now. We went to Phoenix with the girls for a soccer tournament. Came back tonight to a Chicago temperature of 7 degrees. Phoenix was cooler than I thought being 40s to high 60s, but pretty nice compared to 7 degrees.
Heal up, Cousin Bruce.
Rick and Tami,
It is great to hear that you are feeling better. Please let me know if there is anything that I could do over the days/weeks/months ahead to help.
John Giordano
Dear Rick,
Glad to read that you are home now and wishing you the best of luck going forward. Will be in touch.

Back from the weekend to learn that Rick is home and eating out! Of course, what else to expect from our uptown New York guy! Glad our special "Cubbie" is keeping you company with his special smile.
Love from all your friends at the NYC Chapter!
A CUBS cap? I can't believe it. What a loser. I'll bet you put ketchup on your hot dogs now, too.

Rick,
I wasn't going to write on the blog, however I have been following it every day and I am so happy for you, Tami and your family at how well you are doing. We haven't met but I've met Didi on numerous occasions, and of course Tami is one of our busiest lay leaders at the Jewish Home. I look forward to meeting you in person soon enough and getting your recommendations on where to eat on the upper west side -- you really know your restaurants!
Keep getting better,
Joe H.@ JHH
Rick
I have been following your blog for a couple of days and my thoughts are with you. Take it a day at a time. I know you are not out of the woods but if you attack this like your single minded incredible focus that you demonstrated in Physics, TAM, GE 103 and all the rest where I lagged behind I know you will be just fine.
It looks like you have taken over my role as "kitchen dictator". Also what should I do with Navteq?
I will stay in touch. Best Always
Randy Rosset, Corbin and Rachel
Good to hear you are out and about.. Hope you are getting better each day.
Christina
Rick -

Rick & Tami & family & extended friends & family...
been getting up to date and thinking of you so often...emotions & prayers...
You guys are a power of example. So glad that you are on out & about.
Best

Only my brother would be at a basketball game 10 days after surgery and have the stadium officials mistake him for part of the press by asking for his credentials! Is there some part-time job going on with sports that I am not privy to?
Although I have never had the pleasure of meeting Rick, I know through my years of working with Tami how important and loved his is by Tami and the children. I just wanted to extend our best wishes for a speedy recovery to Rick.
Apparently your support is even wider than you know. Keep up the healing process.
Best Wishes From Joel & Heid Brenner...........
